Association 'Belarusian AIDS Network' |
About the Association
Association "Belarusian AIDS Network" was created by Belarusian HIV/AIDS NGOs to provide a more effective response to the rapid spread of HIV/AIDS epidemic in Belarus.
Association seeks to consolidate and strengthen the efforts of Belarusian NGOs to increase the effectiveness of their programs and activities at all levels through facilitating cooperation, exchange of resources, coordination of efforts, lobbying and advocacy.
Currently, Association unites 10 NGOs which represent all regions of Belarus and provide information, counseling, educational, and medical services to the youth, women, injecting drug users, people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, and commercial sex workers.
Association is represented in UN HIV Forum, National Monitoring and Evaluation Council, and the Working Group for the Preparation of the National UNGASS Report.
Association is a member of AIDS Action Europe - a pan European partnership of HIV/AIDS NGOs.
